APSAA hosted a farewell ceremony on December 9, 2025, in honor of the Inspector General of Sindh Police, Mr. Ghulam Nabi Memon (S.ST, TI, PSP). The event was attended by members of the APSAA Board, where Chairman APSAA, Major (R) Munir, warmly received the outgoing IGP. During the gathering, meaningful conversations were held on strengthening Pakistan’s security landscape through enhanced public–private collaboration. CCPO Karachi, Mr. Javed Alam Odho (PSP), also graced the occasion with his presence. APSAA extends its sincere appreciation to IGP Sindh for his outstanding service and contributions to ensuring the safety and security of the province. We wish him success in all future endeavors.
A meeting with the Additional Inspector General of Police, Karachi Range Azad Khan, PSP was held at The Karachi Police Office (KPO) on 01-April 2026. The session was attended by the Chairman APSAA Major (R) Munir Ahmed along with APSAA Executive Committee members Mr. Aamir Aziz and Mr. Syed Atiq ur Rehman to discuss key operational and security matters. During the meeting, various important issues were deliberated, including the improvement of guard training standards, uniform compliance, and the proper display and handling of weapons-particularly by guards deployed behind security vehicles such as Vigo. Special emphasis was placed on enhancing the security arrangements for Chinese nationals and sensitive installations. Furthermore, concerns faced by companies providing Cash-in-Transit (CIT) services were highlighted, especially regarding challans issued due to parking of vehicles in front of banks on I.I. Chundrigar Road karachi. The need for practical solutions to facilitate smooth CIT operations without compromising regulations was discussed. The meeting also focused on strengthening coordination and liaison between APSAA and law enforcement agencies to ensure better security management and prompt resolution of industry-related challenges. Both sides agreed to continue mutual cooperation for improved security standards across the city.
