Mission Statement and Objctives

MISSION:

To prepare and promote standards and parameters for private security companies within the content of security industry, participate in federal and state legislative policy and issues affecting private security companies, advocate for raising standards at the federal state and local level for the licensing of private security firms and the registration, screening and training of security guards, increase public awareness of the important role and functions of private security as vital complement to public law enforcement and publicize services provided by hundreds of private security companies across the country. To also suggest and implement welfare measures for the growth of security industry and to provide them an incentive to do well when pitched against odds.

 

OBJECTIVES:

  • To enhance professionalism within the Security Services industry.

  • To promote public safety and awareness.

  • To serve as a responsible and well-informed voice representing the security industry in the political and legislative arenas and at all platform / forums.

  • To encourage responsible managerial practices among member companies.

  • To provide networking opportunities between members and other industry organizations.

  • To provide up to date security industry news and information which impacts our business.

  • To help ensure the long term growth and viability of the security as an industry.

  • To provide opinions about industry standards and issues surroundings applicable legislation.

  • To closely interact and work within the given parameters with DGTO, SECP, Interior Ministry, and all Home Departments.

 

The minimal Agency Annual dues all go towards funding:

  • Funding and maintaining the APSAA website

  • Paying the Government dues when necessary.

  • Miscellaneous office and administration supplies expenditures.

  • Maintaining our Industry Alert Communication System through issue of Policy letters and monthly / quarterly News letters.
